You can assess how well -- or how poorly -- I am coping by the absence on this blog of any substantial rants against my landlords. Although they are bane #2 of my existence right now (bane #1 being “the elephant”), I am finding it difficult to muster the strength to write about them. It’s a shame, really, because the Great Painting-the-House Fiasco of 2006 seems like it’s moving into full swing here, chez Badger. It looks to be quite a blog-worthy happening, as with his first turn with the sprayer, Landlord Son #1 (age 16) just blasted paint all over the big bay window in my study. “Just grab some solvent to wipe it off,” I hear the landlord tell Son #2 (age 9), “but don’t stick your hand too deep into the container.”
I’m grabbing the car keys and Badger-boy and getting’ the hell outta here for the day. (Although with the rate they do repairs, this painting project should take us into 2007).
